privacy

We collect the information needed to complete and support your order: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, the IP address used to confirm the order, the price you chose, the size, and the order ID. The contact and address fields are collected through Stripe Checkout.

The only information you type on this site is the number and the size. We do not collect any other personal data about you other than that necessary to provide you a shirt.

Card details go directly to Stripe and are never handled by us. We only see the last four digits and the card brand through Stripe.

Stripe handles payment. Printify and its print provider, SwiftPOD, receive your name and shipping address so they can produce and ship the shirt. We do not sell personal data.

Advertising

This site uses the Meta pixel on the home page. It sets cookies and tells Meta that a browser visited, so that we can advertise to people who have seen the site. It loads only after the page has finished rendering, and it is not present on the payment page — Stripe hosts that, and no advertising tracker of ours runs there.

When an order is paid for, we send Meta a record of the sale from our server: the amount, and your email address hashed with SHA-256 so the address itself never leaves us. Meta uses it to attribute the sale to an ad. This happens whether or not the pixel loaded in your browser.

Under California law, sending that record to Meta so it can target advertising counts as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though we are paid nothing for it and no plain-text address ever leaves us. We say so plainly rather than relying on the fact that we do not sell data. We do not sell personal data, and we have never done so.

We do not upload customer lists to Meta or to any other advertising platform. No file of names, email addresses or phone numbers of the people who bought a shirt is exported anywhere for advertising. If that ever changes, this page will say so before it happens.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the pixel is not loaded at all. You can also block it with any content blocker, or opt out of Meta’s ad targeting in your Meta account settings. Neither affects your ability to buy a shirt, and neither stops the server-side record of a completed order, which we send as a business record of a sale you made.

Your choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hi@ipaidforthisshirt.com and we will do it. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

To opt out of the sharing described above, send a Global Privacy Control signal, or email us and we will exclude your order from advertising reporting. This applies to our records only. Stripe keeps its own transaction records under its terms and applicable law, and Meta keeps what it has already received under its own.

We keep order records only as long as needed for fulfillment, accounting, tax, and dispute purposes.
